Hello I am new to the site but it looks like you guys sure know what you are doing and I was just looking for some info on where to go in the central WI area for some carp because I am getting tired of shooting crappies and what to get into some bigger fish. I am in Stevens point and I was thinking about going back to my home town of kenosha for a few days next week or the week after to get some perch and carp but I was just wondering if anyone knew of any lakes around point with carp that had some ok vis.

Tired of shooting crappies?? Those are the most fun IMO. If you'll be in Kenosha you might as well head to the big drink-Lake Michigan. Lots of carp in there. I returned your PM as well.

Green Lake has LOTS of Carp- Not sure how far that is from you, but usually in October it starts to clear up. Otherwise Sheboygan Harbor (lake Michigan) has lots of carp along the outside breakwall.

thanks for the reply. I heard about green lake and that is not far from my cabin so I might try it nexted week tuesday thru thursday if I get a chance because I have to prefish for a bass competition with my dad, but if I get the chance I think i will have to make my way there. I also am going to try this other little lake in wautoma if anyone has time i heard it has carp but hard to find but when you do i hear all you have to do is pull the trigger and you have one on.

I have an explorer 22 and I sold my okd one to my freind that was the explorer 20, it was good for panies but I wanted to get into some bigger fish so I upgraded a bit without doing the research that i should have but it is still a good gun for me to play around with and has a much longer range. I am in the prosess of finding / buy a new cord for my camera so I can post some pics i have about 8 nice trip pics , with and average kill of crappies about 20 to 30 if my buddy comes it is about 25 ish because I try to get him on the fish because I just got him in to it. I think I might go to waupaca tomorrow when I get off of work at 8am and try for some rock bass and a few nice crappies that I saw out of range last time that dont stand a chance now.
