My buddy lost a speargun in very shallow water at Marine st. in San Diego. The gun is a Daryl Wong 60" Carbon Fiber magnum hybrid. It looks like this: http://wongspearguns.com/hybrid.htm It also had 80' of black floatline (line that floats) attached to the gun.

My buddy went spearfishing with his dad who was visiting for the long weekend. His dad didn't feel well, so he decided to go back in. My buddy saw his dad standing in ankle deep water by the beach and continued diving. When he looked up after two dives, his dad was no where to be seen. He thought his dad had gone back to the car until he sees a man dragging his dad up the beach and started CPR. He swam back as fast as he could and took his dad to the emergency room. He didn't even pay attention to the gun or other equipment until much later.

So if you're in that area, please keep an eye out for a black floating line or a gun.

On the rear of the gun there should be initials that say "J.D" on it.

If you have any information, please email me n8nlee@yahoo.com

thanks,
Nate
