Would low blood pressure benefit freediving? My brother has a very low blood pressure, like upper pressure 80 under pressure 40 or 50. He has always had this but with no real health issues involved. He does no freediving whatsoever and without ever training or proper breathe-up he easily holds his breath for 4 minutes. I can bearly reach 4 min and I practice several times a week. He doesn't work out or do any sports so I am quite surprised with this.
Could his low blood pressure be why he can hold his breath so long? I am curious if any of you have low (or high) blood pressure and and what your experience is with breathholds
