I used to dive in 2-5 meter visibility and depth >60 ft ,I always waste time in descending cause current very high like after 1 min from diving I'm at 30 ft and when come up its like 50 meters away from boat or more and not reach to the bottom !I want to make a 50 ft guide rope but the current will drag it if not good design to resist the current ,any good Ideas ?sea floor is sand no rocks or reef .

Maybe use very heavy mono, like 500 lb, stiff enough to coil well and not tangle. You should be able to find something in florescent lime green. This color is extremely visible in the water even down to 50-60 ft or so. Drag on something like that should be low enough to work in your situation.

N0t sure I see how any drop line will work in those conditions. Why not dive with two guys in the water and one driving the boat?

i made this but the rope and weight not yet decide

If the current is really strong, you'll end up needing a very heavy weight and big buoy to keep the line straight. Silly question, but are you anchoring your boat? If you are, maybe you can put out a rear anchor with short rode, and use that?

we anchor the boat near the place we dive but you can't see any thing so I need to be far little bit so I won't get hit by the boat
