Low vol. mask with better peripheral / vision than Cressi Superocchio

There is another mask coming out in a few months. It's been released only in Italy for now. Made by Technisub, called "Marina".

I have tried it on and it has a better peripheral vision than the superocchio. I didn't measure the internal volume of the "Marina" but is seemed smaller.

Looks promising. Does the lens curved around the sides?

Seems like spearo masks might benefit from improved periperal vision. For example, it might be good to have spearo masks with clear silicone sides (and/or wrap round lenses) & a clear bottom with a dark top (to shade the eyes from the sun/fish). Perhaps too complicated to manufacture? Or perhaps the fish might see our eyes too well (undesirable).

I tried the Tehnisub Marina mask in the pool and i liked it very much. Its the evolution of Tehnisub Falco which i use now. Falco is basicly Sphera with flat, glass lenses. Both masks have excelent peripherial vision and low volume (it seemed to me that marina has a bit smaller volume).
As I mentioned the lenses are not curved on the sides, but the whole mask seems very hydrodinamic and fits nice on the face. There are a few sizes as i tried at least 2 different and the first one was to small for me (and i don't have a particular large face). The second fitted perfect.
I can only suggest the mask as it is the best mask I have ever tried (at least for me).

I tried the Omer Alien, Lince, and Matrix a few weeks ago. Similarly to Fondueset, the Lince would not seal on my face. The Matrix, while providing the best peripherals, was not even close to the same comfort as the Alien. The Aliens view was not all that much less.

FWIW, I have a pretty boney face, with high cheek bones and the Alien still fits/seals great.

Kinda late for my input, but I'll put it anyway. I had a Lince 2 for a very short period of time. It's made for a rather small or narrow face. I sold it and acquired an Omer Alien, which is great.

I purchased a Cressi Matrix and Omer Alien, tried them both out today.

The Matrix definitely appears to be a higher volume mask, it also provides a greater field of vision. It doesn't fit my face nearly as well as the Alien, however.

The Alien fits my face perfectly, is more comfortable, and the field of vision is not greatly reduced when compared to the Matrix. The Alien will definitely be my primary mask.

A cool thing about the alien is, when it compresses - which it does pretty comfortably - the lenses move in closer and you get better peripheral vision.

The alien is my backup because it's a little small for my face - I have to wear it low or it scrunches my nose. My Matrix is also pretty low volume due to the scrip lenses I have in it.

Have you ever tried the Cressi Minima?

I don't think a Minima is what he's looking for. It has minimal peripheral vision, almost like swimming goggles.

With transparent (not black) Minima the peripheral vision is not so bad. Another alternative of Cressi Superocchio I can suggest is the Sporasub Samurai http://www.island-scuba.com/p-MKM23.html.
