Hello, guys. I never had squeezes before so I dunno whether I had one yesterday. Maybe your input would help me with that.
The background: I am a spearo, and yesterday we had a great session. I am a Pro swimmer, so I always start my day with a good warm-up (stretching/breathing) and my dive usually are starting on the shallow water going deeper. We spent 4 hours in the water(THe Mediterranean) which is pretty cold these days(15'C).
ANyway, midway thru the day I started diving on a pretty nice reef which was around 20-22m. I cannot recall being uncomfortable with that depth though. In fact, yesterday was my first over 5m dive in a last week but I felt pretty good. I remember doing aguchons(when u lay still waiting for the fish) on 15m/17m/20m and so on. And as far as I know 20m is faaaar from my limits. I never did competitive freediving but I was diving to 35m just to see how is it like :) I mean 20m is my regular spearfishing depth.
THe Issue: today I woke up with a felling that a cannonball just hit me in my chest. It feels somewhere in the middle, but the point is pretty exact, I can easily locate it. Yesterday, I didnt feel anything bad at all. The whole day was good.
So, did I have a squeeze or its because of bad position while in sleep? I remember my ex texting me at 3am, so I just had to reply =]
Thanks.

This doesn't sound like a case of squeeze at all. When I get squeezed it is very difficult to locate exactly where the injury occurred because of the lack of pain. The most significant indication of a squeeze is spitting blood.
