Hi all
I had to rig up my spear gun for the first time and did not know how to make a bungee so here I go this is what I used to make it

# Nylon rope 2.5mm
# Ruber tube
# Some backing line (it is a nylon rope use on fly fishing reels)

To do the last bit is were u give the bungee its spring.
#
Stretch the rubber out over the rope to what u like.
#
Than mark the end of the rubber than come in a bit and tie a knot
#
Then tie it off like u have dun on the other end

now u have a bungee

Visser! That's the same way I make all of mine exept I buy the tubing from Mcmaster and use black nylon line and aussie swivels.I wanted to do a diy but the cam I had didn't take good pics as you can see.

Another way is to wrap the line around the bungee in a spiral secruing it at both ends with a whipping. the spiral allows shock absorbtion and as the line is continuous there is no weak link. I copied it having seen yachts tied up like this with rubber innertube as the bungee bit . Ill try and do a piccie if you want
