Hi everyone. I've been free-diving in Sporasub H.D. fins for a few months and generally find them just fine for an intermendiate -level apneist like myself. The only thing that bothers me a bit is the width of the pockets. I wear size 44 shoes but use fins sized 45-46 with neoprene socks. Lengthwise its quite ok bu my feet are quite narrow and even with 3 mm sock there is some room left between sides of pockets and edges of feet. They neither fall of or are very loose but I suspect I could benefit from a somewhat tighter fit. I have been thinking of gluing pieces of neopreene inside the pocket but perhaps there are better ways that some of you with a similar problem might have tried in the past. Supposedly there is a thread somewhere about making 'shoe-lace' type fitting by Sven...but I just can't seem to find it..I would greatly appreciate some ideas.

I have glued some neoprene to the insides of my footpockets to get a proper fit - and it works very well. The good thing is that you can choose the best place to put the neoprene to get a better fit to your foot, and not have the whole foot affected as it would be if you got thicker socks.

What about using some orthopedic shoe inlay - it may help not only for better fit, but possibly also with better power transfer.

Thanks for all your suggestions.
Will give them a try.
Should the inlays be of some specific material or is , for example, cork OK?
I got some orhopeadic cork/leather inlays that I don't wear and could use for fins.

I definitely think that some kind of synthetic material will be more durable. I am afraid that both cork and leather wouldn't survive more then couple of dives in salt water.
