Mako 5mm mako Yamamoto y39 weight

Odd question but does anyone know how much a mako reef camo 2 piece 5mm wetsuit size=L weighs?
The reason I have just ordered one and don't have it yet. i can look up the density of y39 and calculate how much weight I need to compensate for the wetsuit only. I already have a handle on how I need to weight without a wetsuit

Sorry we don't have the answer for you. The amount of lead you need depends primarily on three factors: Your body, the wetsuit and your target depth.

Since your depth may vary, you may want to have some flexibility with respect to your lead. The short answer to your question is that somewhere around 12 lbs of lead will probably be close, but you want to make sure you float easily at the surface and don't become negative until a depth of about 30 feet or so. Deeper dives require less lead and if you want to hunt the bottom in shallow water (say 20 ft) you may want to wear a little more lead.

Having too much (or too little) lead on your belt can be dangerous and also be detrimental to your performance, so it is important to be able to adjust your weighting easily.
