Dive deeper and equalize less! The MAKO Minimus “MINI” Freedive Mask sets a new standard in low volume freedive masks.

The MAKO ULV “ULTRA LOW VOLUME” freedive mask has been our number one selling mask. It was designed exclusively for pure freedivers, with an ultra low volume design and wide field of view.

The only way to improve upon this popular mask was to further reduce the volume WHILE STILL MAINTAINING AN OPTIMUM WIDE FIELD OF VIEW!

The MAKO Minimus (aka MINI) does just that. Experienced spearfishermen and pure freedivers know the importance of a low volume mask. They also know the importance of achieving this low volume without sacrificing the field of view. The MAKO Minimus takes this ratio of Low Volume vs. Field of View to the perfect equation, thus further minimizing the volume while maintaining optimum field of view.

The MAKO ULV still remains a great choice for divers with larger faces. But, for average size divers wanting to dive deeper than ever before, the MAKO Minimus “MINI” is the mask for you.

Features include:

• Super low profile, designed for deep freediving
• Tempered glass lenses positioned just off the eyes for a wide field of view
• Strap connection point is on the skirt, not the frame
• Instant adjustment strap buckles
• Includes travel box

Recently, while we were at Deans Hole, I was testing this new freedive mask. It really does have the absolutely minimal amount of space in the mask while not restricting your vision. While using the new mask and encouraged by Bobby's success, I was also able to set my own new personal best dive at 147'.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Is this mask "vey similar" to the Technisub Micromask (that is highly praised, a known entity and fits a lot of people), or is a different mold / design that people would have to try on to see if it fits them properly?

Thanks for the inquiry!

This mask is similar to the other masks with respect to dimensions. It is not identical in all respects.

We went through some pretty extensive testing before we committed to this new mask. It has received positive comments with respect to fit from a majority of divers.

One significant difference is the means for attachment of the mask strap. Our mask straps are attached to integrated tabs that are created during the fabrication of the skirt.

We feel that this is advantageous in that the relatively vulnerable mask strap buckle is not attached by a rigid connection to the frame. Having the mask strap buckle attached via a flexible connection makes the mask more robust with respect to the "typical" abuse we sometimes put our masks through.

We probably should have included this photo in our original post to make this more clear. We have some other photos if you follow the link below:

Can you show me a picture of the inside?

I wonder about the eyebrow area, has it got more room then a micromask?

I like the grip section on the nose, and the rounded shape of the lenses.

Thanks, it looks like a winner.
