First off, I have purchased a lot of items from Mako and I would like you to know that I'm happy with all of them (except for the Minimus mask which wasn't a perfect fit for me coz water keeps flooding in my mask) and that your customer service is very excellent (I am based in the Philippines but still your people would reply to me promptly and are very helpful)... so please keep up the good work!

Anyway, I was wondering if you could enlighten me on the difference (pros and cons) between your Pure Carbon blades and the Hybrid or Composite blades (Carbon fiber + Fiberglass). Hoping for your valuable insight on the matter.

Thanks so much for the positive feedback and for your inquiry. As detailed on our site, we are selling two models of blades manufactured by Leaderfin. Both blades have a great reputation and we have had excellent feedback from our customers.

The general feeling is that the hybrid fin (with FG and Carbon) is slightly more durable. It is also less expensive. The pure carbon is intended to provide optimal performance. The carbon fins are not fragile by any means, but they may not be the best choice if you are climbing over rocks in the surf zone for example.
