Although these new prices are amazing, I do have an obligation to advise you that this price reduction is a result of a new line of Go Pro Cameras being released with some new features and upgrades.
So, in the interest of customer service, those individuals wanting to buy the current (above listed) models have a right to know that an upgraded version is on the horizon.
I just learned of this myself when my Go Pro rep stopped by yesterday with this news about the arrival of the new HD HERO 2 series and the reduced price for the current models. We should have the HD HERO 2 cameras on our site later today with a complete “Features Comparison Chart” showing the difference between the HERO 2 series and current units as well as pricing.
As with all current Go Pro HD cameras, we will continue to offer the free MAKO flat lens with the purchase of any HD HERO 2 series cameras.
