Dear Spearos,
We are pleased to announce the availability of the Mako “Tin Man” AR15 handle frames in a 4 hole pattern. We will continue to offer the 3 hole pattern for existing guns. But, for new builds, we definitely recommend this new, 4 hole pattern. Just like the 3 hole pattern, it is machined to accept a push rod and according to Josh with Neptonic Systems, it will work with his new bottom line release (more details to follow).
Machined from a solid block of aluminum, the Tin Man AR15 handle frame accepts a wide variety of removable AR15 handles (Hogue and Midway USA a2). With this removable handle design, the handle can be removed while the frame stays on the gun so as to not weaken the screw holes. This is especially attractive for guys who wish to transport their guns in PVC tubes.
For more information on the Mako “Tin Man” AR15 handle frame, please visit our website at www.MakoSpearguns.com. And, please be sure to watch the YouTube video of Tin Man testing the durability of his creation on this page:
