About six weeks ago I was in the pool and I held my breath for about 45 seconds and then I pushed off under water and becan to swim freestyle. I exhaled my air and then turned to breath. I took a tiny breath. And held my breath. I again took a very tiny breath. I mean one tenth of a normal breath. I was in discomfort but was amazed that I could swim and not get dizzy getting so little air. It was a experiment I tried after reading about the mammalian reflex. I swam this way for about 200 yards.
The next day my back seized up and I was in bed for 3 days. I went to swim and my arms were week. After swimming I could not lift myt arms over my head with out a lot of pain. Since then if I swim my arms get weak and I suffer muscle tendon pain. I have gone to doctors and they are testing me for cancer and heart problems. At this point I do not know if this experiment has anything to do with my pain. Maybe I have another medical disorder. I am a master swimmer age 63, was strong in great shape but know I can’t swim with my arms. I was hoping someone on the board could give me feedback
