Maori Octopus (New Zealand Octopus)

When I saw this octopus coming towards me my first thought was that it was the biggest squid I have ever seen, but as it came out of the murky distance I realized it was a very large octopus. I was lucky enough to capture 10 full minutes of footage of this extraordinary encounter, but condensed it down to this short video. Filmed at Second Valley in South Australia.
