Maputo?

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 90 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
I'll be working with trade unions (research and exchange of experience across 5 countries)... and diving a lot, hopefully :)

During the week I'll be at my desk, but come the weekend I will jump in the warm Indian Ocean, mmm I'm looking forward to it! As soon as I get settled into a flat and find a reliable car, there will be trips to Tofo Beach up the coast near Inhambane (I stayed there some months and loved it) and Ponta d'Ouro down the coast near the border (haven't been there yet). Inhaca Island is just a short ferry trip from Maputo and I heard there is good diving there? So many new places. The job is for approximately 3 years, so there should be plenty of time for exploring.

What I'll miss most from freediving in Copenhagen is the pool training and good buddies. So if there are no freedivers in Maputo yet... I hope there will be swimmers or scuba divers interested in a new way of training :D

I'm from a diving club in Durban and we try to make it into Mozam at least once or twice a year. We did Ponto do Ouro in Jan and are hoping to go up north to Xai Xai or Tofu in Octoberish.... I can keep you updated as we get closer to the time and maybe we can hook up and dive together?
