If the Mares spearguns are actually manufactured in Rapallo/Genoa, I don't know.
Cheers, ulysses
Spaghetti. Thank you for such detailed replay. The reason I was asking about the factory where Spearguns are made is I am looking to buy several tons of salt resistant aluminum pipes that are used in Mares pneumatic spearguns. I need to find out where to buy extruded salt resistant aluminum tubing, just like the one used for mares barrels where the piston is moving. Any help with that. Thank you.Mares products labelled as Made in Italy are produced in the two factories based in Rapallo and Casarza Ligure, in the world's largest dive industry district (Mares, Cressi, Technisub, Seac Sub, Top Sub, Soprassub and other minors are all located in a few square kilometers along the coast of Liguria, north-west of Italy).
Mares factories in Liguria used to employ up to 300 workers until 2004, but then the workforce has been shaved down to below 200. I'm 99.9% sure that pneumatic guns are still overall made and assembled there (components coming from outsource specialized factories, cause you don't make in a single plant everything from tubing, moulding alloy and steel, moulding plastic, rubber and silicone parts, welding, paintjobs, printing logos and stickers....).
