mares Geronimo speargun

Hey guys what do you think of the mares Geronimo? Seen a camo one with a reel.
Is it any good or worth getting for UK waters??

Have you the right make cressi do geronimo I can't find a mares one ? Both makes are good been around for years.I have 3 cressi guns Geronimo 45 75 90 cm very happy with them all.

Reels aren't really needed for uk waters, at least not for a beginner. The simpler things are underwater the better. Where they do help is with bigger fish in deeper water, once the fish is shot it can then be fought from the surface.

Most guns from the main manufactures will be of similar quality with a 75 being the best all round size.
 
If you mean the Cressi Geronimo , I have the newer elite version (mimetic/camo). It's a great gun very accurate. It ships with a reel and 85 cm is the minimum length they do for this version - only a bit longer than an often recommended length of 75cm.
