If you want a Mares computer, you better go with the Apneist or Excel - they do have the freediving mode for sure

Thanks Trux Just wanted to make sure since some websites are talking about FREE DIVE ability but I couldn't find it in the manual as well. It is also not ''crude oil resistant'' which is probably going to be very important feature for us down here in next few years lol...

No, there are more of them. Besides the Aeris F.10, there is also Omer MK1, Immersion Prowler, the arm unit of OceanicSS Recovery Vest, and possibly some others I am not aware of. However, many of the combined scuba/freedive computers have more functionality for freediving than some of the freedive specialists, and are often not much more expensive.
Eric Fattah's Liquivision X1 with the freediving firmware can be considered a freediving specialist too, though there are different firmware versions making it much more versatile than anything else available on the market.

Don't know about Immersion Prowler nor Oceanicss. The MK1 looks pretty bad according to review.
And the X1 is definitely not a watch. I'm one of those that like the fashion side of a freediving watch and a watch is something you can wear out of the water. The Apneist is definitely a big hit for that aspect.

Mares Nemo Excel looks almost identically, costs the same, and has scuba modes in plus, so I don't know where is the problem 
Same goes for many other diving computers with freediving modes - in most cases they are not much more expensive than their pure-freediving counterparts, but offer much more, and there are quite a few among them with a stylish design too.

I am heading in this direction myself. Good luck getting one here in the States via your dive store. Word from my dive store comtact is that they are only going to bring in something like 5. However there is always Scubastore.com, yeah ( I mean it, yeah).
