Hey guys

Just thought I would share my opinion on the mares razor (grey) pure instinct fins. First off these fins are amazing! Very little effort required to make a relatively quick descent and they are very snug/ comfy with 2-3 millimeter socks. These are my first real free-diving fins (was using mares exstream fins)
And I really notice a huge difference. These fins make a nice C shape with every kick an dfor the price I think it's great deal and investment for people just starting in the sport.

Hope this helpful

Regards

James

CAn you make a guess on the width of the footpockets?
Cressis and Beuchats are narrow, Picasso and Imersion are wide.

Do the pockets bend under the foot, or is the only bending along the blade?

just curious.

to me they look average but like I mentioned these are my first free diving fins and therefor I have nothing to compare them to. The curve starts at the foot pocket (about an inch after the ankle) and stops about 1/2 a inch after the foot pocket.

hope this helps:D

Hi, I'm thinking getting a mares razor pro. I usually wear US size 10. What size should I get?

Aaron

I always suggest trying fins on at the store. I am a size 10 foot as well and the fins I purchased are size 7-8 . These fit ok without socks and fit very will with 2-3 mil socks. Even with 5 mil sock they fit very snugly. Im sure you'll enjoy them :)

I got a mako competition in the end. Foot pocket is big, get one size band smaller I suggest. They are nice and soft though.

Performance wise, they are noticeably stiffer than my mares instinct pro, and am still getting used to them.
