Hello all,

I would like to re-ring my Sharp Shooter. It's been in storage for many, many years - muzzle down. I loaded a shaft, it still had a strong charge, but when squeezing the trigger and control firing it with the point down against the concrete, I could hear air escaping around the HI/LO selector as I slowly let the spear push the gun up. I dismantled the muzzle area and the metal piston body was rusted. I cleaned up the piston and can probably get it to work. I have not taken the handle apart yet, as I need to make the tool to remove the inlet valve.

So, I'd like to purchase a kit or kits to replace all the O-rings and piston. I have seen the posts about piecing the O-ring set together with off the shelf parts, but would really like to buy the official parts as a kit if possible.

Does anyone have a source for the O-ring kit(s) needed and a new piston assy? Part numbers would be awesome so I can at least call around to check availability.

Thank for any help!
Jeff

What a beauty:)
If you want to keep it original, then new seals should do it. But perhaps, the easier move would be to get a new piston altogether. Should also be lighter and as such, easier on your shock absorber. Then keep the original piston if you want to sell it on to someone someday.

For the valve removal tool, I just used a piece of alu scrap bar which happened to fit (after rounding the edges). Mount it in a vice and you are good to go. Or drill a hole in it, so you can use a sturdy screwdriver to turn it.
