Hi all!

I've just bought a Marlow 2mm rope for a float line inner rope.

Do you guys think that i could use it for circular bands wishbone?

Cheers, jmota

It looks like it would hold by the specs. It is not quite as stong as Dyneema. The 1.75mm dyneema I have is 400lb, and 2.3mm 800lb test. Is the line a tight braid with not a lot of stretch, I would give it a try I think. Hard to say without seeing the stuff in hand though.

It will be fine, almost or even possibly ideal in fact. The dyneema is only used as a core material with a nylon sheathing to give protection and some bulk to the kine. What king of shafts will you be using it with Jmota? If it has a standard notch you'll need to file and polish it so that it is more line friendly like on the Rob Allen shafts. If you have shark fins you'll be OK as is.

Hi!

I've a normal Picasso 150cm shaft, i must of course file and polish it first before use it.

Thanks for the input, cheers, jmota

I use the same dyneema core line with polyester cover in the 3 mm size for wishbones, and it works fine. I'm sure the 2 mm will be fine too, and maybe 3 mm wouldn't fit in the grooves of your shaft anyway.

You were right Bill, the 3mm don't fit in the grooves. I will try the 2mm.

What kind of bands do you guys have in your guns? I'm inclined for two circular bands Omer 16.5mm Top Energy, what do you think??

What about Riffe Bands? Are they better??

This for my Picasso 100cm.

Cheers, jmota
