Needing a new bag for my stuff, I took a long shot and mail ordered the Martins bag that was previously mentioned in db (I say a long shot, because with this kind of item, I'd usually like to see it live and touch and feel it before purchase).

I have to say that at least initially, it seems great. It looks rugged enough for some heavy duty usage (which it will be getting), but only time will tell if that holds true (my last bag simply fell apart).

It's long enough to fit my bi-fins (omer millenium), the main compartment easily fits the rest of my stuff (5mm suit, towel, a couple of masks, socks, gloves, lube, misc stuff). It has a separate, velcro sealed small compartment for the weights so they don't float around. And it has a nice small side pocket for small stuff, like lanyards etc. The feature I like the most is, that the straps can be adjusted so, that you can comfortably carry it in you back.

I'm sure there are lots of other good bags as well, but what I really like about this one is the price! It cost 60e in total with shipping to get it here. Not too bad for any kind of bag, let alone one specially designed for freediving by a freediver. Even if it does break (which, given enough time, it will), it's so cheap that buying a replacement won't kill me.

Sounds like a commercial ad, but I really like the bag. I guess you gathered that by now

I bought one about 4 months ago and also really like it. It holds not only my free diving gear but all my rec scuba gear except for my backplate/wing.

I bought one some months ago. It is going very good, I really like it.

I will apreciate one or two centimeters longer for my fins, but it's working, and you are right about the price.

Is there a picture of this Superbag?

I will need a bag soon, and it's difficult to find one that fits the bill.

I snapped a few pictures...My photographing skills don't do it justice though

In the first you can see it on my back. On the second, I tried to detail the interior...You can see the different compartments. I agree that the fins compartment could be maybe 5cm longer, but it does the job. On the third, I've packed everything I could imagine in there...Still some room left (that's fins, 5mm suit, towel, 2 mask boxes, bottle of lube, weight belt, 2 lanyards, camera, neck weight, snorkel, gloves, socks)

One problem is when using the longest fins my flap 80 is not really fitting inside inless bending the blades so i have to have the last centimeters of the blades sticking out. It is good to wear it on the back, i just wish it was a little more comfortable to wear as a backpack.

Frontal view please

I needed a bag to carry loads of fins - I have about 5 pairs now for my freedive school and was sick of carrying them all individually.... whilst in IKEA the other day, I found a great red canvas zip up backpack with ventilation panels for £15.... it fits freedive fins easily - in fact it fits 5 pairs easily...so I guess it would easily fit one pair and a wetsuit and other kit... bit of a bargain.

oh yeah, look for it in the laundry bag department....

What about snowboarding kit bags, what sort of lengths do they come in, would you get a wetsuit and fins in one???? any snowboarders know???

I bought mine directly from Martin Stepanek at the PFD clinic in July for $50.00 US. Very nice bag. I traveled to Miami with my old dive bag with my Gara 3000 sticking out the end for about 6 inches. Then I bought Martin's bag and everything fits great!!! Two pairs of long fins, weights, two wet suits, two mask fit just fine.

But not the C4 Flap 80 Or C4 Falcon 80s will NOT fit

You need to buy a fishing rod bag like me and do some jiggery pokery my son!!!!! :martial

and hey presto!!!! u'll have your self a nice long bag for those fins, just some trimming and sew a new zip in, a few hours work max. and cheap!

definately a nich in the market for a longer fins bag (1 metre of so).....

Hi. I have just discovered this bag on the internet and it looks perfect except for on thing...the mesh in the bottom of the bag. Doesn't that mean the bag leaks just after a dive i.e. when you through it in the back of the car. Or can you cover over the mesh?

I am gutted as I thought I had found the perfect bag for speardiving, but if it is going to leak in the bag of my wagon, there is no point.

Thanks for the info!

its a cool bag! it is meant to leak. put it in a plastic bag or over plastic if thats a problem. I got one last week on the diveFIT Level II course (amazing BTW)

Good freediver but not very well designed bag.
Material is not appropiated. Simple PVC is a lot better.
No leaks is very important for every day use.
