I can't wait to see where he takes it to. Along with the rest of the attempts to come! Proud of him for sure!

Yes! Please tell me there was a tag involved? :)

That is massive, I really was not expecting Herbert's record to fall so "easy" (easy being in quotation marks for it's obvious relativity here).

That just leaves one question - what's next?

wow ..the last freediver with a mask......

also our italian friend Davide Carrera is still using a mask.... and after 6 or 7 years he were out of competition make an incredible series of CW with 91-94-96-98-99 meters at Vertical Blue in Bahamas (all italians cwt records...)

Very happy to hear this, amazement with a smile on a face is a great combination!

Congratulations Martin!

I find it incredible that he was able to average over 67 M/minute. (122Mx2)/3.6 minutes.

This is most amazing!!! I thought the 120m Herbert did would last for a while. And with a mask - unbelievable!
Congratulations! A big achievment!

Impressive! To think that Martin was out of the limelight for so long and then he does this... He seems to have no problem adapting to the deep.

Does anyone know if Martin frequently and regularly trains depth or is he one of those guys that goes deep for records every once in a while? I'm assuming it is the latter, but I'm not sure.

Looking forward to the developments. :martial :)

EDIT:

Here's a You Tube video update (vimeo's not working for me-not sure why) that could hint at future depths:
