Hi people - my Aquashphere Sphera's lenses have just popped out, now i need a new mask. I've heard good reviews on the Omer Alien (except for fogging) and thinking of getting one of those. Question - for pure freediving, I'm doing 40m/50m dives now, and want to get something tha't'll suit that kind of freediving, and hopefully deeper up to 60m's. Any ideas? I also use a Cressi Super Ochio, but it feels a bit small on the face.

I reccomend the Cressi Occhio Plus, that's what I just got for Christmas, it's got small internal volume and good vis. but then again, I consider 40 m extreme, I couldn't even imagine myself doing a 60 m dive.

If you want, i've just putted on my website my comparative publish in apnéa magazine in 2008. I'v had tested 20 masks, it could help you !:blackeye

Personnaly, i like the Aqualung Micromax and Omer Alien but has every one knows, each head his mask !

There are still Spheras available - I agree that the aqualung/technisub micromask is outstanding as well.

Great tests! I like the chart - it agrees with me :) besides the sphera the micromask and cressi matrix have the best field of view. The site is excellent - I wish it were in english too but I managed to make sense of it.

Thanks for the replies all - I actually sourced another sphera and managed to fix the seal of the last one so I've got two now : )

Trux that new mask looks epic.

I love my Micromask. I've had it down to about 55 feet, and hardly notice it at all, and it's got a great field of vision. I use it for spearfishing and never miss a beat. I highly recommend it.
