Yesterday I suffered the most intense headache I have ever had while ascending from a 14m dive. A little earlier I had a small headache from a 4m then it went away when I dived to 14m, but when I came back up the pain was nearly unbearable. 20 hours later I still have the headache. The pain is centred around my left temple.

I have had a little blood when I blow my nose after a dive for a little while before, and I also have a little bit of tinnitus in both ears from dives in the preceeding week.

My head still hurts, even after a good night's sleep. Anyone had anything similar?

Stay out of the water for some time, take some asprin and you might wanna contact a physisian just to be on the safe side. Bleeding occurs when bloodvessels break when stressed. Some people have more fragile bloodvessels than others, so you might be one of thoose. Worst case you have a very small bleeding inside your head causing the preasure/headache, so i would definately go see a physisian.
Anyways, thats just my observation.

Maybe sinus squeeze? Better to see a doctor.

Some explanation about sinus squeeze...

Sounds like a classic reverse block in the sinuses. It should heal by it self in a day or two, but if it doesn't and especially if it gets worse, see a physician.

Stay out of the water for at least a couple of weeks and in the future, stop diving if you feel sticky sinuses and especially if you see blood after dives. Ie use common sense :)

Thanks for the advice, I'll rest up for a few days and see how I go. The headache is subsiding now (thankfully).

So, apnea walks, tables and pranayama for me for the next while. I'm doing a course out here in Thailand, so otherwise I'd be diving every day.
