Hi all,

From November 9 to November 21 2008 I will join the Master Freediver Course in Moalboal, Philippines. The course is about going deeper, learning to teach/coach other freedivers and there are also special topics (UW-Photo, Spearfishing...)

I think these few weeks will be the highpoint of my year, can't really see anything else being able to top it during the last few months!

Anybody else got time to join in?

Regards,
/Andy

Sounds awsome Andy, i think i should do my 2* first though (only completed my deep tank free diver course so far) I didn't know there were any other courses further on from instructor?

Where abouts in London are you?

I've actually only completed my * course as well, probably in the same deep tank! Portsmouth, right?

Going to do the advanced course in the days before the Master course starts...

I live in Surrey Quays, SE8... but am currently spending a few days with family in Sweden before moving to the Philippines!

Yes, that's right the good old SETT in Portsmouth! I wish you well on your next course. I live in kent but work in Charlton a couple of times a week.

Your a lucky man moving, might give it a go one day when i pluck up the courage.

Not sure what the Master Freediver course is - it's not an AIDA Course (unless its a 4 star and they don't realise the name changed about 3 years ago!)

AIDA has 1-4 Star, a few specialities (safety, monofin, competition) and Instructor. Once you become an instructor you can progress through the ranks to Instructor Trainer but that is based mainly on growing experience rather than further courses.

He's probably doing a course with Wolfgang Dafert. Maybe he just names his course differently.

Thought i was right that i hadn't heard about this course? As sam explained once you get to 4* the rest is down to comittment to the sport.

It probably not conducted under the AIDA system then. At least it doesn't seem that way under Wolfgang's site.
