Well we decided to give it a go today and see what happens.

First off we had a late start since the capo had class till 10:45am and then we met at the marina. On the boat I realized my wallet was lost.......... went back lost an hour and couldn't find the wallet.... canceled my cards and felt like crap. Anyway we decided to hit the reef anyway.

Made it to about 20ft bottom current was ripping it up, and the vis was 20-30. After swimming around for about a half hour we were welcomed by a rather large lemon shark 7ft which swam from 20ft under straight to us....... o_O kinda scary but we stood our ground and he went on his way... the dude got close. As we went to get back on the boat my bud starts to yell!..... I kinda freaked until he said; "grouper!!!" I look down and see a nice size fish just lazzy swimmin around, gathered my wits about me and went down. It was a nice size red and just like that took the shot, 35min later he was in the boat. The guy went in a cave and out the other end crazzy tangle. Tried stabbin the brain with my katana so he would stop struggling couldnt get it..... slips out of my shaft and swims into another cave pretty banged up though. My bud lends me his gun and I put a second shot in him and that was that..... I did have to go back for my gun lol. Here is a pic of the dam bastard haha

I hope you ate the cheeks! Looks good, got a recipe?

Oh yes those sweet cheeks are a treat ... as for the recipe garlic, salt, pepper, potato, cilantro, olive oil and some natural juices.

BTW Steel I forgot to mention there was a happy ending to the wallet crisis, turns out I misplaced it in my friends truck while un-packing the gear :hmm

.... Also I don't plan on winning the MoneyBag I'm in it for the fun factor -$20 :t. Nailed that dude by the reefs off KB

Amen brodah :friday

armando the red was round 27" .... BTW that shark did catch me off guard and the fact that he b-lined right to us was very strange behavior especially since we had no fish on us o_O. It was weird I didn't really panic but rather kept calm for the most part... I even swam at him with my gun pointed in his direction and he didn't veer thats when I got nervous.... got two feet from my tip and simply left us... I know sharks can be curious but jeez that dude was close! I shot the fish 30 yards from where we saw it too

Let us know how your day goes on Sunday, hope you dig those carbons :martial

:mute I went Out today kinda late with the mentally that I would do some spearing but let's be honest here! Sands Cut was the place to be, any ways :t todays was extremely bad very strong winds which man bring some dirty waves I got wet a lot today believe me guys. NO SPEARING! :vangry BUT!

I tried my CARBONS for a brief minute or to trying to anchor the boat in the sand bar. Let me tell you something WOW!:inlove the saying is true once you try those babys on YO NEVER GO BACK! :naughty NEVER! they are like leafs on my feet they felt so nice! I have yet to try them in deep water but I'm looking forward to with such a passion. Matt Mimmetic by Carbontek I LOVE THEM! :thankyou{sorry can't say enough about them}.
ps: I will post full report when ever I try them for real in deeper water to give you guys a better explanation and experience on the product. I am also using Sporasub footpockets!

Hmmm sounds like those fins do live up to the hype. How is the stiffness on the blade?? Are the Sporasub footpockets comfortable, any complaints? BTW sucks that Sunday was soo nasty... the week looks pretty crappy too *sigh*

In all honesty they live and surpass any hype that has been said about them. Like I said I can't simply give a full review on them yet because I need to test them to the best of my abilities. I spoke to the guy who sold them to me and he said " if you love them at 5ft to pull the boat your are going to love them at 50ft". So that comment there left me :mute really impressed. Everything that he has said thus, far has being 100% true no BS to get me to buy a pair or fins.

Sporasub footpockets on my feet feel really good no complaints I would have to use them a lot more to get the full feel. But I choose them because i felt that they were slightly better than OMER + the size I got them were on special from Dennis Haussler the guy from 20fathoms.

Oh yes Sunday was bad at 1st I was mad at my boat due to the wet ride, but dude I talked to some guys and I was like you know what I'm very proud of my SeaCraft I could not ask for a better ride. No jumping just splashing I'm very glad that I have it cut's the water like a damn KATANA. :inlove

Awesome dude glad to hear the review, now time to put em to the real test jaja!.. The winds have been howling lately hopefully they give us a break :head
