I was tempted by Trelawney's sole but Crazywinds crab was just too good not to vote for it. The crabs here are mostly tiny due to too much potting.

I think I know where Chris shot that bass, and it ain't an easy place to fish!

We have a geographic advantage with regard to some species.
Big crabs,like this 8-pounder,can be found close inshore in August.
We have 10 metre spring tides so there's plenty of water over them
except at the bottom of the ebb.

Good to see more people voting on the FOM polls this year than last year. Possibly more exciting than the European elections? :t

That was a close one! 70 odd votes too! When i posted there was only a couple of entries and i thought i had a good chance seeing as it was almost the end of the month, the next day they all started flooding in. Some monster crabs and a bloomin conger! In my unemployed, one day rolling into the next, state i was convinced the poll wasn't closing til tomorrow night, so a nice surprise.

Super pleased.

On a serious note: AAAAAAHHHHHA HA HA HA! Gimme my trophy!rofl

P.s. I appreciate some of you may think i'm getting a little over excited about this:

Oh yeah, thanks to everyone who voted for me.

I'd just like to thank my mum and dad, my friends, god.

Its been quite a journey to get here from my humble beginnings back in 76. it was a hot summer that year......blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
