i was lying in bed doing statics today and i had done the first few warmup holds.
on my max attempt i got this tingling sensation. it was all over my body but mostly focusing on my face and my arms. it kinda felt like my skin was falling asleep. i know having your arm or leg fall asleep is due to decreased bloodflow. so i'm assuming that thats what was happening.

i also had a weird pressure in my chest. not uncomfortable, just something i'd never felt before.

didnt accurately measure my heart rate, but it definitely dropped below 60 bpm (my one mississippi, two mississippi test) from a resting ~90

end result is i easily beat my previous best time by almost 30% going from a hard 3:30 to an easy 4:30

i think this was a dry mdr, but i haven't found a post that actually describes what it feels like.

was it a mdr and if it was, was it something specific that i did that triggered it?

anyone?
i havent been able to get to that point again, but i've had a couple of 4+ min holds

i have read some posts about dry mdr, sounds to me like it is likely that it may be the blood shift part of the reflex happeneing dry. I have had the same thing happen.
