Hello everybody

I am from Libya which has the longest coast on the Mediterranean sea.
I am not professional at spearfishing but it's my favo hobby. I mainly hunt
groupers ( we have 5 types of groupers) I believe the dusky grouper and the black one are 2 of the 5 we have. Anyways, I have a few ques.
1. why it's hard to find grouper from April to June.
2. Does the dusky grouper goes in slumber like some animals do on our earth?

Welcome youseph! Glad to hear that you are able to spear-fish - things getting back to normal in Libya?

Sorry, I can't help with the your grouper question - unfortunately we don't get them here - but perhaps one of our Mediterranean-based members will be able to help you. I have set the "?" icon on your post - it might help attract their attention ;)

Hi Youseph,
Welcome to the forum.I use to spearfish in Alexandria.Finding troupers at this time is related to the water temperature and the current. Troupers like to be within the coral reefs and most of the time are hiding. You will soon by experience will get to know their favorite reefs.I wish you good luck
