I want to buy the Dolphin Carbon mono by SF.

My question is how to decide about the softness?
I'm thinking medium or hard.

I'd love an answer from one who bought any mono from SF.

Thanks.

hi merio

i had same problem yesterday ...
well i just ordered Dolphin carbon from LF, hard one ( why LF? because SF didnt answered since 2 weeks )
btw it depends on weight, and what is more impotant for you DY or CW. Many people here in DB said , for CW you need stiffer blade, than for DY.
For me is CW is more imotant, and i wont use it for longer distance than 250 m

CF & LF. ...

The products look almost the same. Do they buy from the same OEM source and then just add the finishing touch ? Just curios.

CW is more important.
I'm 1.85 meters, 67 kg.

What is better in a costum made mono?
And how to decide on the sizes?

BTW, I'm wating for SF's reply for a week now...

Thanks.

I'm also 1.85 meters, but 77- 79 kg, and because of weight and my strong legs i tend to a hard blade.

its depending on how and how long you want dive ...
maybe that helps:

BTw. I ordered a custom monofin based on LF carbon freediver with Dolphin footpocktes and wings, but with angle. Similar to Herberts SF monofin.
About a size of the blade, depending on weight and how big you are.btw SF or LF should help with it.

i still waiting for answer ... i think it is the 3d week, after i send a second same email ... well its to late i already ordered from LF

Hi,

I just got a response to some questions I had for SF today after waiting for about a week. Jyri said they're on vacation and didn't have access to internet. Maybe you'll get a response soon.

I'm 6'1" and a little over 200lbs. I have a SF mono with full foot pockets and hard blade. I love it, but have never tried a medium stiffness. I purchased my hard blad based on the recommendation of others of a similar size and weight as me and have not been disappointed.

Good luck.

Jason
