Hey All
Another idea to get you SaltFree-ers going...
Mencap is 60 years old this year and one of it's fundraising/celebration efforts is its annual Dive Challenge. The idea is that people team up to make themselves a personal Dive Challenge, relating to the number 60, and raise some money for people with Learning Disabilities. The event takes place over the longest weekend of the year - 24/25 June and I'd like SaltFree to be in on it.
My idea - you get together a team and between you, you dive 60m. This could mean that Mark and Laura team up and he does 55m and she does 5m - it could mean that three of you gang up and between you try FI, No Fins CW and CW and add it up to 60 - it could mean that a couple of Angels both build up to a 60m dive together, it could mean that a shed load of you get together and do 60 minutes of static......
Whatever, however, a few divers and a number 60 and a load of cash for charity at the end of it....
Each person needs to raise at least £50 and for that you get a T shirt and some support from Mencap.
If you are interested, mail me for an entry form and let me know your plan as I will put this on the SaltFree site once we have some cool ideas.
