I had a few hour break in between classes today, so I hopped into University Bay for a quick spearing trip. Vis was 6' at most, decreasing the farther from shore I went. I only saw two fish, a small perch and a carp, which I shot. With a few minutes to spare after the dive I zipped over to Monona just to have a look. It was pea soup. No diving in there for a while.

I also had a homeless man tell me that if the cops saw me with a speargun they were going to shoot me because they're illegal. rofl Luckily there never was a shootout.

I was biking around town with my son today and checked out Lake Wingra- it was the clearest i've ever seen it. I've never speared there, but I know the UW just finished up some big carp eradication project there and it was suppossed to clean up the water.

I alos checked out Monona in a few different spots and it was green everywhere I looked. I never made it up to Mendota, butit's nice to hear the things are clearing up.
