Hey guys,

Was curious as to what you guys do for mental preparation for before and during a PB dive atm I'm finding I'm lacking the will to push and keep on going :( probs more due to know coach and lack of confidence during my pool dives. In the ocean I'm fine I can do 5min frc static dives to 10m but struggle to hit past 5mins on the surface at the pool :S weird as haha
Cheers guys

Having a good buddy helps a lot. In addition to the safety they provide a bit of competition. A good buddy will encourage you to push beyond the comfort zone while assuring you that they are there for you.

You probably get a much stronger DR doing FRC in the ocean at 10M than you do floating at the surface of a pool. Find a buddy/coach. It is necessary if you are going to push yourself--for moral support and safety. I have never been but there is a rather healthy freediving community in Austrailia, no? It sucks when you read these threads and then learn that the OP has died in a freediving accident....

Hey guys just to clarify on the above post, I have active dive buddies during pool training and depth training in the ocean. All training is done with active safety. I also have improved in my pool training now.

Cheers guys.
