I'm not sure if anyone here is interested in this subject, but this seems an appropriate forum. Please let me know if otherwise.

In light of recent media coverage regarding the significance of mercury
in seafood and the possible role of selenium in reducing mercury
levels, I thought I would pass this along.

An international symposium on the role of selenium in the mercury
issue is being held for for representatives from government, academia,
media, and the seafood industry.

The international association of bioinorganic scientists is sponsoring
the event on February 22-24, 2007 in La Jolla. Registration fees
range from $450-525, depending on sector affiliation.

I will be attending the symposium, as this topic is relevant to a
number of clients. If any of you are planning to attend, please let
me know, as it would be a pleasure to meet up and talk.

If anyone is interested, let me know and I'll try to report back with a brief summary following the event.

Safe diving, all!

Please do, I'd be interested, not a problem that affects us so much in the UK but it never harms to know a little more :)

Jim and interested others,
I'm a bit under the gun right now, but will post back with a follow-up on what the latest scientific research is finding, and how the mercury issue is shaping up.
Thanks for your patience and interest.
