Hiya,

I am trying to get into free diving/spear fishing and appear to live in the black hole of the free diving world. I spoke to the Natural Resources department today and they had no idea if free diving was even legal...

I am in SE Michigan, north of Ann Arbor. I am looking for anyone that is interested in free diving and/or spear fishing. I am not scuba cert'ed and have no plans for it. Snorkel only fer me. :)

I plan on going out snorkeling to see what I can find in the way of good lakes and go from there. Be warned, I am a novice to the sport, but can swim like a fish. (I've snorkeled a couple of times in CA on vacation.)

So, is anyone out there from MI? Shoot me an email or an IM.
