I saw this once before and it was because it was only showing me the recent threads.. like the ones in the last 30 days.. there is a setting you can change.. worked for me.

Dreww, I am not to hot on mid handle guns as they are not popular where I live but I think they simply work through a push rod assembly linking a conventional trigger unit & a forward set trigger. I dont know if you can buy this set up as a kit but it would be relatively simple to DIY.

Hi , i made a midhandle gun last year , and i love it , works a treat for our 1m vis!
I have been thinking about posting an article on the build as i have taken pictures of most of the fundamental steps of the build , i just dont get the time and this probably wont get done till i retire [another 40yrs or so]

If you are a competent diy'er there is really nothing to it once you have decided on these basics
  • Length of the gun [mine was 900mm]
  • open track or enclosed track [depends on your shaft - mine was an open track for a RA6.5 mm shaft.
  • How many and what diameter bands [have a single 18mm on mine but would cope with two bands]
  • The trigger mech you will use [i bought a ... cant remember]but it was a standard trigger , and i diy'ed a pushrod and second trigger with brass.
As i said , i have some pictures , and will be willing to help if i can in any way. PM me your email address and i will send you what i have.

chiao:)

Typically you set the trigger mech in the rear of the gun and have a remote trigger forward where the handle will be. Usually the remote trigger and spring is just pinned into the wood. From there you mortis in a push rod that engages the actual trigger mech.

I just saw a diagram of one... Ill see if I can find the link.

Heds, it would be fantastic if you could feature your gun build as I cant remember ever seeing a mid handled gun build on db.
Could we just see a pic for now?

HEDS gun is worth a look, it has a couple of very interesting ideas in it
