Hello everybody! I have decided to build my own speargun and will be making my blank in the next couple weeks. I want to build a 38-42" mid-handle. I plan on using teak lamination and a neptonics trigger mech. I am looking forward to sharing this project with you.
Any pre-build tips would be greatly appreciated. I feel I have a good plan, but now would be the time to work out the kinks.

Thanks in advance for the advice.

Hi fisheye, welcome to db.
Really looking forward to your project especially because we haven't got anyone featuring a gun build at the moment.

Hello and welcome on DB would like to c your project. There is section for custom made guns...

All best...

looking forward to the build fisheye. here's a link to an old thread but this was my first build. I still love the gun and have shot some of my biggest uku with it....http://forums.deeperblue.com/homemade-spearguns/80743-haileys-pistol.html

This gun has neptonics trigger mech and handle. Josh is a great guy and has some great products. Good luck with the build. My biggest piece of advice would be to have a lot of patience. Give your laminates/ stock ample time to climatize before truing and cutting your track.
