Midmay visitor to CA wants dive partner

I am visiting the Moterey, Califonia area may 15-20 of 2008 and am trying to find someone who would be willing to show me where to free dive the area for some spearfishing or maybe an abolonie hunt as they don't have those on west coast. I am even willing to swim on the outside LOL. I'll buy Lunch and gas if need be. Trying desperately to get the word out about my trip. 563-528-5404

You can't take abalone in the Monterey area. Its legal only if you are north of the Golden Gate.

You might want to try posting this in the California-West Coast forum too.

Reartner needed for spero freedive San Miquel area

Hello all still looking to find partner guide for a Ca dive weekend of May 16. First time in Ca anywhere from San Miguel to 75 miles north of Monterey. I am novice to spearfishing but have hunted all my life. I have let many a kill go by land hunting because unsure of whats in bushes behind target. Will by lunch and pay for gas for your travel to guide me. 563-528-5404. Caution allows future adrenaline rushes recklessness not my style as ultimate adrenaline rush is knowing your dead and not going there. Not sure if my novice status worries people but I won't cause worries.

hey anyone want to tell me what sort of fish I would be looking for in mid may 100miles or so around Monterey as I have not fished sunny CA.
