OK. regretably, the dive we had planned for this thursday got cancelled. not to get shot down in my hopes of testing out the new gun, we decide to load the kayak onto the car and make it a beach dive. so we hit the water by 10am
the water was flat, the sun was out in force, with the water at 31c according to my D3.
we pladdle out to this buoy 1 nautical mile out and tie up. current was ok, but the viz was absolute crap. it was like swimming in soup. hot and zero viz.
we dove and dove and nothing.
we decided at around 3pm to head back in. we load the kayak back on the truck and have our luck with the breakwater.

the fish were small. like really really small.
we kept at it till about 6:30.

while we were paddling, ali's glove came apart, so he was using a 3 prong. i was using my 100, as the picasso 110 with twin 18's is way beyond overkill.
with almost no natural light left we find a school of baitfish. 5 minutes later we have 3 fish in our stringer.
