Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
Bill I have a similar story that relates to my US cousin who has dual citizenship with Ireland but can't repeat it here unfortunatley. Thats what you get with systems and no one able to use their cop on.

Feargus- this is a total derail, but its my thread anyway. We just saw a film called Leap Year, almost totally filmed in the west of Ireland, that reminded us of the great cycling trips (4 of them) that we've taken there and brought back great memories.

It did take some minor liberties with geography. For instance, the actress was trying to get from the US to Dublin but was diverted to Cardiff, Wales by weather, then took a fishing boat across and landed in Dingle. There was no explanation why the boat went clear around to the west side rather than the east, but why quibble? And then you could walk a short distance from a pub in Dingle to the Cliffs of Moher, but that did permit getting some dramatic shots standing on the edge.

It was a bit silly, but we love Amy Adams and Irish scenery, so we enjoyed it.

Bill be sure and call if your ever back, same cousin had inlaws here last year for a week. his father in law had it all planned out, (their destination was here in sligo north west, his homplace) arrive in dublin 10 am, hire car and drive to kerry, do the ring of kerry, travel through cork to blarney stone on up to galway to see galway bay maybe stopping off on the way to see the cliffs of moher in clare and arriving in Sligo that evening. He had checked the milage online and reckoned it to be only a few hundred miles but hadn't factored in "thems Irish miles".

They made it to sligo but not to Kerry.
