Chaps for the benefit of some of our new members and current numbers please find below a link for minimum fish & shellfish sizes in the EU.

I would suggest that some of the sizes are too small and personally i always try for the following.

Bass 50cm
Mullet 40cm
Pollock 40cm
Sole 30cm
Plaice 35cm

I would also like to see an agreed limit of 12 scallops per person per dive to help protect future stocks as the number of spearo's taking them over the last few years has almost quadrupled!!!!

Please do not get caught with undersized fish as not only will you be in trouble with the law, you will be ribbed for ever and a day on the forum:naughty

Hope this helps

I haven't checked them all but the minimum size for bass in Ireland is bigger. I think it's 42 cm and I'd go for 50cm, as you do.
