Does anybody know what has happened to Alison? She hasnt posted for about a month and I cant send a PM or an email. Are you alright? Does anyone know?

Sorry Stevie (pastor) We should have been in touch, Ive sent you a PM and will phone you this evening.

Yes, tell her we miss her and that we hope for all the best her way.

FWIW, she popped up on Spearboard.com a few days ago and introduced herself. She has posted a few times since then.

If its the same Alison, and I think it is, she is alive and well.

Ive had a few PM's asking why Alison has left deeper blue, so we decided that an explanation is in order.

She had been undergoing some harassment through both PM's and the reputation system here for some time, which has become upsetting to us both she therefore decided that it would be better if she left the forum. As I'm sure most of you are aware, Alison sustained some severe injuries over the christmas period, both physical and phycological and despite her progress is still not 100%, so given time I'm sure she will be back as and when she feels fit enough to deal with any unwelcome attention.

We both have made some good friends here and she apologises to you all for dissapearing without a goodbye but says Hi to you all and sends her love.

Colin,

I'm sure I speak for that majority of DB members, when I ask you to extend to her our best wishes, and fervent desire to see her back here! She was and remains a valued member!

Hope she recovers swiftly.

Perhaps Papa should consider installing some way of protecting members from bad mannered individuals. Another forum I belong to has a 'ban' function that doesn't allow certain persons to post. Poor Alison certainly doesn't need any hassle from jerks.

I think some forums have the 'Ignore' option. Someone can choose not to see any posts from whoever they choose, simpler than retiring or banning, no?

An' youse will unnerstan', dis ain't bizness. It poisonal!

Hmmmm, where is that address . . . of the Sicilian relative in Las Vegas!

The ignore option may be a usefull thing for a member but its not an option for anyone whose job on the forums is to moderate the content of the visible content, this then leaves them open to abuse that by default of their position is beyond their control, it may then be argued that they should have reported this to the management of this site but then if the team leaders or the Administrator does not answer either a cry for help (Mr Willer) or emails (Mr Whelan) then it is hardly supprising that this sort of thing can be allowed to continue. Its no point trying to blame any members for this harassment when the chain of command doesnt do its duty of care. Yes I am cross, I am very cross, 5 months my wife has spent dragging herself back from her ordeal to be shit on like this has angered me beyond belief. So here's to having this post deleted and to having my supporters title removed just like Alison did when she resigned!

No need for a pm. just take a look at her last post for a clue.

Um, EXCUSE ME? I had absolutely no warning of any of this. I found out Alison had left from MILES. I understand you're upset, but maybe a polite "Please STFU" is in order untill you have your facts strait. :hmm

I will miss Alison around here and would really like to see her back.
