broke another band today, time to think about upgrading !

any suggestions? im debating between just getting single 20mm bands again, that would be the cheapest but also most boring, also thinking about getting an open muzzle with twin loop bands, would give me the extra power i want for those fish that hang around just out of range.. and if i had an open muzzle i could get a tabbed spear instead of notched..

any suggestions? ideas?

Here's a conversion I did a few years ago on a Beuchat Mundial Carbon.

Good Work Fuzz!!you remember the lenght the green dynema ya used from tip to tip in cm?

sickbugs,
The range isn't much different since I made my bands soft. Stiffer or shorter bands would boost range, but that's not what I was going for personally.
The main advantages of open muzzle are:
Easily power up & down with 1 or 2 bands.
Much cleaner line of sight.
Cheaper bands.
No articulated wishbones.
etc.
Check this link out for a really in-depth breakdown of the closed vs. open debate.

Sedate,
Honestly, no idea - it was over 3 years ago :)
I usually make my wishbones pretty short, though it's really a user preference. Somewhere around 8-10cm from knot to knot?
