A long time ago I purchased a Knee loader for my old Asso 115 thinking it would make loading the long gun easier. (i hadnt figured out the rope extension trick on stardard loaders yet).

Knee Loader for Pneumatic Spearguns - Spearfishing World

When i did use it i found it was very heavy, who ever designed it didnt have a clue about what happens when aluminium and stainless steel are touching in salt water, also the surclips used rusted up after the first dive and the aluminium section was permanently loose so it kept hitting the guns barrel. So i took it off and it collected dust for a few years. until i decided to make some mods:

The Aluminium section was removed and replaced with a 1.5mm thick stainless tube section modified to fit. The Loader is now full stainless, much, much lighter and can be locked into positions.

I hope this might be of use to people who are looking for solutions for loaders of this style. I prefer the loaders with the rope extension as you can use 2 hands on the loader making loading much easier and given the length of the speargun it is much harder to spear yourself by accident.

Guys i tried this loader out the other day on my vintair 130. I just didn't have the strength to load the gun using this loader.

I then pulled out my standard plastic hand loader with rope extension and loaded the gun no problem.

Moral of the story don't bother with these knee loaders unless you are using low pressure or are Hercules.
