Hi,
I am using a Waterway Model 2 Monofin but after only 10-15 minutes my feet are so sore that I usually change to free immersion.
I think the main problem is, that the heel is not supported by the sole. There is considerable pressure on my middlefoot (where the sole ends).
The idea is to extend the original sole with carbon fibre laminate or similar to support the heel.
Before I wreck my fin, I would like to ask if anybody ever tried something similar.
I appreciate any suggestions

Sönke

Yes, I tried that long time ago and it absolutely does not work, because then your heel prevents the mono from a proper down stroke. See thread: 'Stretching foot pockets'
