Hi my fellow mermaids,

since i do travel a lot and it is always a pita to carry my beloved but long cressi garas with me, i am looking for a good and solid pair of "take apart" fins, which unlike ikea furniture can be taken apart multiple times without breaking.
my feet are relatively wide and i have a high arch.
what are your suggestions?

thanks!

I personally don't trust the concept of modular fins... But others may not have the same mental hang-up / aversion that I do.

I've traveled with my Mares Avanti Quattro fins - they're durable as hell, built like tanks and fit diagonally in a large suitcase.

They are on the heavy side and aren't a true Freedive long fin, but good for everything but DEEP line diving.

Another travel option, is a hydrofoil type of propulsion device / monofin (dol-fin X-20 or Lunocet).

Ah, ok thanks.
But let me clarify...
With traveling i mean the kind which involves carrying a amall backpack and riding local busses ( africa, south america, asia ).More the backpacker style.cheers
