Hi,

Does anyone know if you can buy a waterways monofin bag in the U.K. without having to order from the Ukraine, also can anyone recomend a stronger bag or is this one the best on the market, i've seen one and they look pretty good. My old monofin bag didn't survive the flight back from LAX but the Monofin survived no probs....

Also I'm looking for a longer bi-fins bag than my existing one, fin dimensions are 94cm x 21cm at the widest point, my old bag won't take a fin longer than 90cm....

any tips on where to look or ideal bags appreciated!!! thanx

Great ordered the monofin bag via Spearo.

Anyone know regarding a suitable bi-fin bag?

It is too bad it is almost to short for long fins like c4 flap 80 and falcon 80 but i manage to put my flap 80s indie thpugh i would not dare to send them like that on an airplane when they are very tightly put into the bag

Yeah i don't know how they manage it, but however well you pack your gear between the point of departure and destination, always something gets F**k'd up! so definately a big risk, i'd say!!! damn my fins are 94cm and this bag 93cm, mmmmmmmm surely somebody manufactures a bi fins bag just for the fins thats almost a metre??? mmmmmmmmm where's that hacksaw??? :duh

I know this is a stupid question, but I'm going to ask it anyway. Have you ever thought of having a bag custom made for your needs. You can design it how ever you want with plastic reinforced sides to protect fins and what ever else needs protecting, as well as making it as long as you need it. Just a thought.

Sounds like a little too much hassel for a lazy low life like myself!!! and for a one off bag maybe a bit expensive, still if I ever get more time on my hands from this hectic daily life, could buy the material and make it myself. For now though, just wanna pay my 30 Euros or whatever it is and have a bag long enough in length that I can travel with my fins without having the zip open on the bag... so tape measures out everyone!!! Find me a bag that will fit my 94cm long fins!!!! If I'm ever in your neck of the woods, there's a cold beer in it!!!! :friday (we aren't all tight b***ards up north, tha' knows!!!!)....

Cressi do a fin bag that fit my gara 2000's in nicely. It has seperate fin pockets on the sides and a fair bit of room inside the bag itself for the rest of your kit. Very sturdy too - I've travelled a fair bit with it putting it through baggage holds etc and not had any damaged kit.....yet! Pretty sure it might be in the DB shop?

Just had a look in the DB shop - Its called the Cressi Apnea Team and is £37.87. Not sure what the P&P is though.....

The problem is to fins fin and gearbag that fits fins lik C4 Falcon 80 or C4 Flap 80

My flaps are 100cm from heel to tip!

We have a small number sitting in my stock room. Currently we sell them for 39 GBP (+ P&P).

Thanks Clunacek, that's a nice bag! wonder if you can buy them in Europe???

by the way, something of interest regarding bi - fins bags for travelling, ritter do a trombone bag, it will fit alot of makes of fins, around 90cm, or so, but mine are longer shame, but the nice thing is it's padded all around, great to protect your fins during a flight. I actually have one that is no use to me due to my fin's being too long and my bad measuring before buying. Also has medium sized compartment and two smaller ones. But the bag is only ideal for dry gear, not to take on a dive...

Thanks Donna and Stephan, that's 2 cold duvel's on our next encounter.... still haven't got that bag yet???? mmmmmmmmmmmm!!!

Can I order one online?????

For anyone who's after a bag for their extra long bi-fins, not for all their kits as well, I have a solution.

I just went into an anglers shop and for £14 bought a very good quality short rod bag, it's about 1.4 metres long, plenty of room for the fins, lots of extra pockets, might even fit a folded up wetsuit in there at a squeeze.

All it needs is a locking zip sewing in the top and some velco fitting at about half way up the outside of the bag, then you can fold the top section over like a flap making a 1 metre long bag.

So if your struggling to find a long enough bag for your fins, try your local fishing shop.

Where can I buy a bag that can hold both bi-fins, monofins and mask? My Specialfins bag is a bit too spacious! I want something snug-ish (as in its not gonna 'roll around' in the bag).

Just got a pair of supposedly delicate C4s and I've run into the same problem, i.e., where to find a proper bag for my new babies. Nothing fits!

I think our best bet would be to get a rifle bag/case and throw the fins in there. They come in all sizes and tend to mimic the shape of the fins (w/ the rifle butt being the blade). I imagine such cases will be easier to find here in the U.S., but not impossible to find in Europe and elseqhere. They're cheap too! (most are less than $50)

There is the MArtin Stepanek freediving bag, the bag even holds my C4 Flap 80 which are extra long.
