Hi,

I'm very new to monofin swimming- first learned about it in the film, The Cove, and have bought a basic model from FINIS- tried it in Hawaii but would love to use it for working out- getting toned. I need some coaching, though, and would love to know of any such coaches in the westside area of Los Angeles.

Thank you!

Michelle

Are there any local freediving or fin swimming clubs? If not you could find a swimming club/coach and practice dolphin kicking...

No Simos have no finswimming here at all - it is not popular in the US.
Michelle: contact me and I can help you . I am a competitor and instructor and former butterflier -I have a training group in Orange County. I would be happy to work with you. Once you get the basics of the dophin kick you can train with a group in LA. I can introduce. We also have pool comps in LA.

Thank you Simos & Carla!

Carla, great! I am doing this purely for my own health & wellbeing- don't think I'll be competing- but would love to learn proper technique from you. Shall I email you privately?
